Since its inception, LACA has been cultivating a cultural presence in Newmarket—developing a way in which to honor the arts, the citizens of Newmarket, and the heritage of their waterfront mills. Your annual membership contribution (see membership levels) will help to strengthen LACA's influence on the cultural unity of the seacoast area. Through LACA, Newmarket now has a place to showcase and share the importance of our art, culture and heritage with residents of, and visitors to, the seacoast region.
BENEFITS
Several fund-raising events are held annually, offering artist-members the opportunity to promote, display and sell their works (see calendar of events). Additionally,
LACA sponsors a number of seasonal art showcases each year—each an exclusive gallery display of member-only art. The showcases run for two weeks, and have featured wine & cheese artists receptions, spoken word events and performances by special musical guests. These group shows are hosted by a local business;
we will also host a variety of other special events throughout the year, including a variety of cultural, literary and musical events;
LACA partners with other community organizations to bring other special programs and festivals to the area;
LACA members are eligible for pre-registration notices and member discounts for certain events;
every current artist-member is eligible to have an artist listing on the LACA website; Members may also submit requests to post notices for area shows and related events, and will also find artist opportunities listed in the Artists section of our website;
corporate-level members receive a complimentary listing on our Corporate Sponsors Page;
any member with a web site can opt to receive an official LACA Member icon (with a reciprocating link) to place on their site;
members may opt to receive periodic email bulletins of art-related news & events from around the community.
